Halloween Weekend 2013

Nana and Papa stayed with us for the whole weekend which was lots of fun!  Friday my sweet friend Jessica watched Lincoln so that we could take the bigs to see a play downtown with our home school friends.  We saw, “The Little Engine That Could.”  I was pretty unimpressed but the kids seemed to enjoy it.

Lincoln refused to take off the goggles.  He’s very fond of wearing goggles or sunglasses at all times these days.

After the play we went to eat at The County Line.  The boys love the scenery there.

Friday night we got a sitter (the first time we’ve had a sitter for anything other than small group-Bible Study) and went to a party with our small group from church.

Here we are (Jay and I were black eyed peas) at the party with Nana and Papa.

Saturday morning we went to the farmers market and then to Spirit Fest, a big Christian music concert.  That night we went to a Thanksgiving Feast put on by a local Christian home school group.

My friend who hosted the dinner has a beautiful place just a few minutes from our home.

Lots of great food and good friends.

The kids enjoyed throwing rocks.

On Sunday, Papa and the boys were playing in the front yard and Papa invented a game where his shadow would chase the boys.  It was pretty hilarious.  Nana got a great video of Bear cracking up being chased by Papa’s scary shadow.

I love how much my boys love my sweet dad!

Papa and Nana had to leave (their visits always go by way too fast!) that morning and then after church we worked on the boys Awana’s project.  They were studying missionaries and were so proud to use their sweet babysitter from Plano, Amanda, in their report.

Such a fun weekend!
