Our home school process has evolved and changed so much in just the short time we’ve been doing it. First of all, we just love classical conversations. It’s such a great backbone to our learning and we like it so much and feel that it is enough that we completely dropped My Father’s World. MFW was a wonderful curriculum but it just wasn’t necessary with the math, phonics and coop we are doing.
Here are some pictures from Jackson’s first day of classes at Classical conversations.
Here is his handwriting on the first day of school.
For art class the kids drew lions. The lion on the right was Jackson’s first attempt. The teacher taught them a bit about lines, etc. and then his second attempt is on the left. Pretty good improvement!
Very proud of himself.
Outside for a science experiment.
After class, which lasts from 9:15-12:15 the kids eat lunch and play on the play ground for an hour.
After school Jackson enjoyed playing with some of the other boys on the street. I just can’t even explain how nice it is to have SO many kids on our street!
