Finally, I’ve made it to Christmas on the blog. . .better late than never!
Lincoln looking like such a big boy at just a few days under 5 months.
The day before we left for Plano we went to a cookie decorating party at a friends house. The guys had a blast and I really enjoyed hanging out with the moms.
The next day (Saturday) we went to Plano. Unfortunately it took us over 6 hours to get there. . .more than double the normal time. We ended up missing the Sheriff family Christmas due to being so late. We’ll know for next year!
Nana had told me that Toys R Us was having a sale on Lego stuff. 25% off of $100 purchase. I had told Jay about this special and didn’t realize that Jackson was listening. For future reference it can ALWAYS be assumed that Jackson is listening. When we got to Nana and Papa’s she gave each of the boys a small lego toy. Jackson pulled me aside with a big smile and said, “mom, we’re getting a whole lego city later!” I asked him why he thought that and he said, “because these two toys did NOT cost $100, Nana’s got something that’s worth a lot more hidden somewhere!'”
Smart little guy was right, here are the boys opening their lego city later that afternoon.
They were so excited! The boys are lego obsessed right now.
Fun with Nana!
Nana and Jackson spent the whole day working on their lego city. It was so neat to see them having so much fun. Bear was with them for some of it but he wasn’t nearly as focused as Jackson.
Jay enjoyed working with them as well.
Jack and Nana are such buds and great lego partners!
Bear had fun too. . .in short spurts.
Just part of their super cool lego city.
Christmas Eve we worked on a craft that I have done each year with my MOMS group but this year made it a family effort.
The boys laughed hysterically as Nana painted their feet.
I just love Jack’s smile.
Jack loves Aunt Jess and Buddy.
Freckles and Bleaker playing.
Aunt Jess (4 1/2 months pregnant with cousin Jonah) and Lincoln.
Lincoln chilling in his Christmas jams.
Jack after opening his remote control helicopter. He LOVES this helicopter and was pretty much obsessed with it until it broke. He’s very into anything remote controlled right now.
After we opened gifts Papa, Nana and the boys had a family nerf gun war.
Aunt Jess had made special treats for the boys. They took a short nerf war break for a treat.
Impossible to get a shot with all of the boys smiling but I’m just happy to have all 5 of us in a picture together. Looking at this picture I thank God for my sweet family. Pretty crazy to think that just 5 short years ago it was just the two of us!
Annual Christmas pajamas picture. So blessed to have such a great family.
Nana and Papa with 3 of their soon-to-be 8 grandkids!
My sweet tiny man.
Playing with the Santa hat. . .
A few of the men enjoying the hot tub on Christmas Eve. Jack loves hanging out in the hot tub with the guys. He always tells me he’s going to have “man time.”
Christmas morning. . .
Noah looking hilarious as ever!
Bear waiting for his delicious breakfast.
Our finished craft from the day before, I was very pleased with the way it turned out.
Nana making yummy omelets.
Lincoln being his content little self.
Our 2012 Christmas card.
After breakfast we headed over to Gaga and David’s house!
The boys wearing the shirts we had made the day prior.
Gaga’s house was, as always, full to the brim with toys and gifts!
Gaga had gotten a onesie for Lincoln that said, “Who Needs Santa When I have Grandma,” definitely true with the 3 amazing grandmothers my boys are blessed with!
Where ever Lincoln is you can usually find either Jackson or Baron. He is adored by both of his big brothers!
The day after Christmas it snowed.
We got to see Grandmommy every day that we were there. So awesome!
The boys loved playing in the snow, even though we only let them play for a few minutes.
Jay also loved playing in the snow.
Lincoln got lots of love from his grandmother and great grandmother.
Sweet David putting together Baron’s toy grill.
Gaga with my big boys. Poor Gaga had been super sick with the flu, bronchitis and pneumonia.
Gaga did lots of baking with the boys.
Jackson is so happy at his Gaga’s house!
Little Linc in his Christmas footprint onesie and booties.
We had such a wonderful Christmas with our precious family. It made it feel like we still lived in Plano. . .even just for a few days! Thanks to everyone for such a great week!
