Halloween 2013

Halloween this year was so much fun.  Nana and Papa came into town which thrilled not only the boys, but Jay and I as well!

Side note, people are moving into Austin at such a crazy pace (something like over 100 people a DAY are moving into Austin right now due to jobs etc.) that this is a popular bumper sticker.  Pretty funny.

I just posted this because it is not only extremely accurate, but also hilarious.

My guys ready for some trick-or-treating.

Love that Lincoln is wearing the same costume that Lennon gave to Baron two years ago.

The kids loved having Freckles in town for the weekend.

017 018

Freckles was not a fan of inflatable decorations.

Lincoln was pretty happy with all of the love that he got over the weekend.

031 032

Jackson was pretty happy with his insane candy loot.  Of course, he only got to have a few pieces and the rest went to the “Switch Witch.”

The adults ravaging the loot and taking what they want before we deliver the rest to a party.

042

The Switch Witch took all of the candy and left the boys a toy!  They were thrilled to have Beyblades in place of candy and I was thrilled not to have kids strung out on sugar and junk.

Lunch with Ashley and Jennifer

Ashley and Jennifer were in town one day and we were able to meet them for lunch.  They had just played in a golf tournament and Ashley’s partner was the owner of a restaurant in Austin.  It was fun to meet them and have the owner bring out lots of yummy barbeque!

The ambiance at The County Line was great.  Seriously beautiful view!

Happy boys got to order what ever they wanted.  It’s hard to fill these tummies but this definitely did it!

My guys love their Aunt Ash!

Lincoln was SUPER fussy (like, record setting) at the restaurant.  Here he is directly after I buckled him.  Poor buddy was teething like crazy AND exhausted.

However, after his nap and some motrin, he was back in business.

And here’s a random shot of some beautiful Austin fall leaves that the boys loved seeing on our way home from lunch.  They just had to have me pull over and take a picture.

Late October

One day the boys and I had to run several errands and it started raining.  Instead of running for cover I let the bigs just play (it was hot outside anyway).  They had a blast running, jumping and playing in the rain at the shopping center.

One day, Lincoln was so tired that he didn’t even wake up when I brought him in from the car.  I ended up changing his diaper and he didn’t even stir.  Sweet sleepy little man.

IMG_6200

Jackson is VERY into making breakfast for the family these days.  He gets up most mornings and makes eggs or pancakes.  He’s so proud of himself and as you can see in these pictures he usually makes a mickey mouse pancake for Bear.

Rub a dub dub, 3 men in a tub.

IMG_6216

You can tell that he’s an Adams man by the way he gravitates towards the fishing pole.

IMG_6220

One morning the boys dressed up in “duck dynasty” clothes and played duck dynasty ALL.DAY.LONG.

Not sure if I’ll ever stop taking sleeping pictures of Dink.  He’s just such a love bug and I just can’t stand how precious he is-even asleep.

IMG_6259

Gaga sent the boys a scarecrow and they were so exctied!  Here is “Stuky Dan,” as they named him, before he was fully stuffed.

IMG_6263

Gaga also bought Baron an Avitar (coincidentally enough, Jay and I were at the theater with Uncle Jer watching that movie when I was in labor with Baron) costume for Halloween.

IMG_6264

One of our neighbors had a party and Jay and I dressed up as “black eyed peas.”  Not too original but super easy and cheap!

Fun dad Jay carving a pumpkin with the boys.

One day at school Jackson’s friend, Caleb taught the kids how to count (and write) to ten in Chinese.
