July 24th

On Tuesday, July 24th I went to the doctor for my 41 week check up.  We had planned to induce at 42 weeks (the latest that my doctor would let me go being a VBAC) on July 31st.  However, my fluid was too low and he said that instead we would have to induce either that day or the following.  I was a little stressed out worrying that inducing too early (not that 41 weeks is early but still. . .) might lead to a c section but I didn’t have much of a choice and luckily trusted both my doula and my ob that it was time.
So, I called Jay to let him know that it was BABY DAY and then took Jack to the pediatrician and ran a few errands.  Super awesome Aunt Sissy and Gaga took my kiddos to dinner and a splash park while Papa took her kiddos to dinner.  So, Jay and I were able to pack and get ready to go to the hospital by ourselves.  While I was packing I started having contractions but didn’t think anything of them because I’d been having them for weeks.  However by the time we arrived at the hospital (6 p.m.) I was in full blown labor.  We were beyond excited, nervous etc.  What a huge blessing that they didn’t even have to induce me!  Here are the last pictures of my very last pregnancy:
