Jackson’s 5th Birthday

I CANNOT believe that our little Jackson is already 5 years old.  It seems like just yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital.  I don’t have the words to express how much I love this mini man.  His sweet and affectionate personality amazes me daily.  He’s the single most caring (and ornery) person I know.  I am so proud to be his mother!  So, without further ado here is how we spent his 5th birthday:

For breakfast we went to his favorite place for waffles, Le Peep.
It was my 3rd time to take all 3 boys out and the first time for me taking them out to eat at a restaurant by myself.  It went very smoothly.  Adding the 3rd thus far doesn’t seem that hard. . .ask me again when he’s mobile!

For lunch Grandmommy brought us food from Jason’s Deli.

Bear was loving the organic apple juice!

The boys were so excited to see Grandmommy.

For dinner we went to Jackson’s all time favorite place-Texas de Brazil.  He loves the steak and loves the banana’s even more!

We got a sitter for Baron and had dinner with just Jack.  It was so nice to have a calm and relaxing dinner with him.  He was so well behaved and we had some really wonderful conversations.

And of course he cracked us up with lots of jokes.

Here he gave us a blast from the past with his old phrase, “ba!?”

During dinner I asked Jackson what his 5 favorite things in life were, he could only narrow it to 6 things:
1. Movie nights with mommy and daddy.
2. Going to Aunt Mandy’s house
3. Dinner alone with mommy and daddy.
4. Fun things with mommy and daddy (can you tell our little guy needs more alone time!)
5. Snuggling with mommy and daddy in their bed on the weekends
6. Baron and Lincoln

Our house has been a bit crazy lately with the new baby and getting ready to move but I’m trying to spend as much quality time with the kids as possible.  Lists like the one above really let me know what means to the most to Jack.  All of the experts say that kids spell love T-I-M-E and I know it’s true.

Jackson Christian, I love you more than you can ever know and am so proud to be your mommy.  I pray for you and thank God for you each day my sweet son.  Happy 5th birthday!
