Thursday May 12th was Jackson’s spring play at school. It was his 4th play and I am just amazed at much he has changed since his first one. He did such a great job! His class sang two songs. One of which was “No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.” He played the Doctor and did an awesome job. He hammed it up and was so funny. Unfortunately I had to miss his first show (had to give my testimony for the MOMS group at church) but Jay filmed it for me. And I saw him in a similar role the next day.
Anyway, hopefully soon I can get the video online but for now here are some pictures!
Here’s the stage before the kids came out.
My dad, mom, grandmother and Jay had seen the play the day before and said that Jackson ignored them the whole time. I felt badly for them knowing that if Jack saw me he would have been thrilled and so friendly. Then comes Friday and I come to the play and see Jack and here’s his face upon seeing me.
Later that day I asked him why he hadn’t smiled at me or even acknowledged any of the family the day prior. He replied that he was in a play and was told not to say hi to anyone. He of course took that to mean all day. . .even after the play in his class room. Funny dude.
There was a video playing where they asked the kiddos questions about animals. You can’t see too well here but that’s Jackson. He’s dressed as a swat team member because they filmed the day the police officer came to the school so of course he had to dress accordingly!
His sweet class all wearing monkey ears.
On Thursday Jackson played the Doctor and on Friday Camden played the Doctor. Hopefully I can get some pictures of Jackson from Thursday dressed as the Doctor. Camden didn’t want to say the lines (and eventually threw down his costume) so Jack stepped up and helped with the lines. It was pretty funny.
Here’s Jack “helping.”
This is the whole school together for the last song.
CBCA always does such a great job with these sweet kiddos!!
