New Year’s Eve (day) was Christmas (part 2 now that the Francis family was in town) with Nana and Papa. First we attempted to get some good pictures of the 6 kiddos at JC Penney. We had a horrible experience. Baron was super unhappy, which is crazy because he’s such a happy kid and in addition to that we had a really bad photographer. Anyway then we tried at home and the kids were just burned out. but here they are anyway. . .
Baron is clearly disturbed by all of the torture he endured in front of the lens.
Ready for presents.
Presentpalooza. . .
The orange megaphone below is one of Jackson’s favorite things ever. It transforms your voice into a bunch of really loud alien sounding voices. When Jay hears it he asks why my parents hate us. I don’t mind noisy toys.
I love this picture of Jenna. I’m not sure what was going on but it her expression is hysterical.
Later in the day Super Gaga came over and picked up Mia, Lennon and Jackson to take them to the greatest New Year’s Eve ever! Gaga took the kids to the Magic Time Machine and then back to her house to spend the night and have snacks and poppers and all kinds of other stuff. Jackson was SO excited that he insisted on wearing his new suit from Nana and Papa.
Jackson was more excited than I have ever seen him.
I love this picture of Jax and Sissy.
Lennon had a great time but wasn’t so sure about leaving at first.
At one point Lennon was saying he didn’t want to go and Jackson said, “come on, I just wanna get out of here man!”
Can you tell they were all being given strict instructions to obey Gaga?
The bravest Gaga in the world! She actually said they were all perfect at the restaurant. Not so much at her house. . .
After the big kids left we had Baron with us for the party. Of course his 5 p.m. bedtime had him in bed far before the party began. Here’s Bear with Aunt Mandy playing with the light switch.
Noah arrived from work just in time to entertain us all
I’m pretty sure he was doing his impersonation of one of his professors here.
Noah always keeps us laughing!
Shelby and Dusty hanging out in the pool room.
More pool room. . .
Pictionary time. . .
Can you tell Mandy and Jenna were VERY serious about the game?
Dad and Laura had gone to another party for a bit and dad came home looking a little like Elton John.
This party animal fell asleep well before midnight.
We had tons of food, drinks etc.
So, I admit the whole pajama New Year’s Eve party thing was my idea. It sounded so great to be relaxed and laid back. But now as I’m looking back at the pictures I’m a little scared that we might end up on some awkward family photo website. But it was GREAT to be relaxed and everyone said they loved being so casual.
Jay, Dusty and Dad ringing in 2011
Not a very wild bunch.
What’s funnier than taking a picture of someone who’s taking a picture of you? Not much my friend, not much.
I have no idea what dad just said here but from the look on Laura’s face it was something crazy.
Alright, here are the awkward family photos I promised.
Of course we can’t be serious. Not at midnight on New Year’s Eve in matching embroidered Disney jammies. . .
Grant and (pregnant) Jaclyn were loving the casual.
Once again, Noah entertains us.
I forgot this guys name but he was very nice (a former roommate of Dusty’s) and decided Mandy needed to wake back up and join the party.
We had such a fun New Year’s Eve, thanks so much to Nana and Papa for hosting the party and to Gaga for taking the kiddos out for such an awesome night!!
