We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Lots of great times with our little family of 4 as well as our awesome extended family!
We kept things small at our house this year. It was the first year that we woke up in our own house and we loved it. We got up and opened presents together and it was wonderful. Unfortunately Christmas morning Bill had been sick and needed to go to the hospital but luckily Jay was there to take he and Grandmommy and was able to be sure everything was ok. Bill turned out to be just fine and everyone was able to be together again that afternoon to go to Gaga’s for another Christmas celebration.
Here’s our tree Christmas Eve.
The kids stockings were full of little toys and treats and they each got a Christmas book.
Jackson was very excited about his stocking!
10 month old Baron pretty much just watched Jackson.
And of course anytime Jackson gets excited or laughs, Baron gets excited and laughs!
Baron getting a thank you hug for a gift he had given to Jackson.
This was our most fun Christmas thus far because Jackson was so into everything.
All that excitement was exhausting and Bear needed some daddy snuggles.
And of course Jackson needed to set up our new nativity set again at our house.
Later that afternoon we all went to Gaga’s. She makes homemade rolls each year and Mia and Jackson both wanted to help.
The happy chefs.
Sissy and Baron.
There is always a massive spread at Gaga’s house.
I love that we have our childhood stockings (made by Grandmommy) at moms house.
A tradition that started last year. Mom gets the kids each a gingerbread cookie each Christmas. Jackson talks about and anticipates this cookie ALL YEAR.
Sweet kids bundled up to go play in Gaga’s awesome back yard.
We got Mia some Harry Potter Legos for Christmas and Jackson was obsessed with them. Never mind that he has no clue who Harry Potter is or what Legos are, he heard that Mia wanted them and just knew they had to be incredible.
Everyone was a little tired after lunch. Especially those who were involved in Bill’s trip to the emergency room.
Lots o’ loot.
The kids had begged all day to eat their cookies. I couldn’t get a shot of all 3 of them with their cookies and their faces showing but here’s a few. . .
You may wonder why Jackson never seems to be fully dressed. I wonder the same thing. He does start the day with clothes on!
YUMMY!
It’s so funny how 3 kids who never eat sugar get so excited about it and then take two bites. As you can see Lennon took one bite, Jackson two and Mia ate an arm. Funny kids!
I love this little guy!
Gaga, Grandmommy and Bill gave my boys a trampoline for Christmas and it’s the hit of the year for Baron. He LOVES it. We’ve now had it for almost 6 weeks and several times each day he climbs onto it and jumps and laughs. He still doesn’t know how to get off of it by himself, but he loves it anyway. All Christmas day he would start laughing and get so excited anytime he was near it. By far Baron’s favorite gift yet!
Christmas this year was so wonderful and such a blessing to be able to be with so many of our relatives all week!
