Francis Family Visit-Part 2

The day after we went to the zoo we went to a fun living history museum that Jenna had bought tickets to.  Bear was exhausted from our San Antonio trip and so we let him stay with Jay to get a good nap.  Mia had spent the night with Kendra the night before so we were able to take her with us for the day.  She’s so much fun and such a sweet girl!

Pioneer Farms (the living history museum) had some blue bonnets so of course we took advantage of the photo op.

My sweet-almost-9 month old baby.

It was so much fun to learn about the way life was before all of the conveniences that we now enjoy.

There was also a pretty cook creek on the property.

We learned how to make a towel.

Jack and Lennon are such great buddies and I love seeing them having so much fun together.

The boys decided to go swimming in their undies.

Mia and Kendra were wishing that they had brought their swim suits.

Luckily there were no other people in the entire place.  I say luckily because our boys were suddenly naked.

I think Kendra and Lennon wanted this picture for their (great) grandfather Pepaw.

As often happens, Lincoln was completely exhausted and fell immediately asleep as soon as we got into the car.

On Sissy’s last night in town (April 15th) Lincoln ate and enjoyed baby food for the first time!  We had been working and working and working in physical therapy etc. and he just finally decided that he wanted some food.  Go Lincoln!

Love seeing all of these sweet faces around Linc.

Watching a movie and relaxing after several days of non stop action.

Wish these kids were on my sofa more often!

That night Gaga gave each of the girls a fantastic relaxing and refreshing facial.  I’m pretty sure that all 3 of us fell asleep.  I could definitely get used to facials!

While the Francis family was here we went to do proper blue bonnet pictures but unfortunately the sun was so bright that we didn’t get many good shots.  Eyes were squinty but hey, we tried!

Poor Bear had busted his face, chipped a tooth and scraped his stomach pretty badly when he feel off of the pick up trike at Mandy’s house.

Just wish Uncle Shelby could have come with his sweet family.

It was much easier to get a shot from the back!

After blue bonnets we went to have lunch at Top Notch.  Jenna had said it would be our “new Kellers.”  Kellers is a total dive burger joint in Dallas that we love.  Top Notch was pretty good, we’ll definitely go back.

And on their last morning here Sissy did volcanoes with the kids.

What a super ridiculous fun visit we all had.  Now we’re counting down the days until we get to go to Pine Cove with Gaga and the Francis kids in August!
