Visit with Leanne

Last Wednesday my former roommate Leanne came into town with her 3 sweet kiddos.  We met up at her best friend Carrie’s house and had dinner and a play date.

Jack enjoyed playing softball in Carrie’s back yard.

It’s tough trying to get a good shot of 8 kids!

Jackson was especially fond of Skylar and even said he had a crush on her.  Pretty cute.  To see Jack and Skylar a few years ago looking super adorable click HERE and scroll down.

Seeing Leanne was awesome and reminded me of how much I love her and how much fun we had living together!

Feeding the Ducks

There are a ton of ponds/parks around here so we spend a lot of time feeding the ducks with friends.

Deer

The entrance of our neighborhood has our community play ground and pool and a big green belt.  Around dusk there are a TON of deer there.  The boys love to drive by and the other day we got a few pictures.  Unfortunately most of the deer ran away when I walked toward them but you can still see some here.  You’ll probably have to click on the pictures to enlarge them to see all of the deer.  The boys love them and Bear always comments that he would “never shoot a sweet deer, only mean guy deer.”  Jack just says he want’s a big buck.

Love this area!

Lincoln’s First Food

Lincoln is in physical therapy for his torticollis and also because he hates anything being in or touching his mouth.  He refuses a bottle and only wants to nurse (24/7 of course).
Anyway,  here are some pictures of our first attempt feeding Lincoln some pureed sweet potatoes.  Jackson climbed on our current high chair (the one that was used for all 4 Sheriff kids, Mia and the older two Adams boys) so we fed him in the bumbo.  We now have a new (to us) high chair.

Little man was pretty unhappy and closed his mouth every time food came near it.  He also spit out any food that got on his lips.

Big brothers were, as always, right by his side.

He looks so stunned and completely refused to smile until I got him all cleaned up.

Looks like Lincoln is going to be like big brother Bear and just nurse for a while. . .which is fine by me!

March Madness

I’m so excited to actually be caught up to the current month.  Maybe I’ll even get fully caught up-at some point.

Here are some of Lincoln’s “Wednesday” pictures.  Considering I still need to make Bear’s “Friday” book it will be awhile before I start on Lincoln’s.  At least I’m taking the pictures right?!

Just another morning with my sweet heroes.

IMG_3159IMG_3161

These boys are truly best friends.  They love to play together and have so much fun.  Of course they also clobber each other and fight-but they get along more often then not.  I’m excited to see the how much fun they all have when Lincoln gets into the mix!

It seems that Jackson’s SWAT team costume is WAY too small.  As you can see he still looks very fierce. . .but in a village people kind of a way.  Jay said he died a little when he saw this picture.  I think it’s hilarious.

IMG_3171

Jay and the boys love a show (which a very much do NOT love) called Duck Dynasty.  The boys put on all cameo to play duck dynasty the other day.  Jay was super proud.

IMG_3175IMG_3179

Poor third baby. . .Lincoln’s toe peeks through most of his pajamas.

Three weeks ago my dear friend Ashley came to visit.  The boys absolutely LOVED her.  She played with them constantly.  Sword fighting, bike riding, she even took Jackson jogging with her.  Jackson adores her because she’s the one who gave him his precious Molly girl at my baby sprinkle for Bear.

IMG_3193IMG_3197

As I have mentioned before we’ve been struck by all kinds of illnesses this season.  I bet you can tell what Bear had in the picture below!

IMG_3198

It’s not easy being a boy mom x3. . .the other day I was nursing Lincoln and putting him down for a nap when Bear decided to finger paint with red paint, on our kitchen tile.  He looks pretty proud of his work doesn’t he?!?

IMG_3200

And another one of Lincoln’s jammies with his toe peeking through.  He doesn’t seem to care though!

IMG_3204

A few weeks ago we were at HEB and Bear put a bag on his head (I know, I freaked out and warned him of the suffocation hazard) and said he worked for Aunt Mandy.  Can’t wait to take a trip to San Antonio at some point soon.

IMG_3238

Every single day there are kids playing in our neighborhood.  At first we had some issues because most of the boys are older than Jackson.  But we’ve since resolved them and boy is it nice for them to play outside for HOURS each day.  I still have to be out to watch them if they are in the front but at least I usually get to visit with neighbors.

Bear and Emma Grace sword fighting.

IMG_3243

Jackson loves to take pictures with my phone when I’m not looking.  I just love seeing his sweet and crazy self portraits when I open my photo album.

IMG_3260IMG_3261

Since the boys are no longer in preschool it’s been a bit chaotic.  I like to start the mornings with fun and on the right note so here is Bear drinking freshly squeezed orange juice while waiting on our homemade waffles to cook.  The boys love having waffles and pancakes for breakfast and I love their smiles.

IMG_3266

Back to the chaos part.  While I was doing laundry Jackson wrote the first initial of each boy in our home. . .on their bedroom doors.  Ugh, he was so proud that he had written each kids initial.  He had no idea that I’d be upset that he wrote on the doors.

IMG_3289IMG_3290

Bear dressing himself is always fun.

IMG_3292IMG_3293

When brothers attack. . .Bear was “playing” with Lincoln and accidentally scraped him (frighteningly close to his eye) with a pencil.   It was a mess, Bear was crying because he felt bad, Jackson was crying because he was worried about Lincoln.  Lincoln was crying because his was hurting and then I started crying because I was so tired (one of Lincoln’s up every 60-90 minute nights) and all 3 of my boys were hysterical.

IMG_3298

Last week was spring break and we had a play date every single day.  It was an awesome week with lots of new friends.  Here are some pictures of one of the two play dates that we hosted.

IMG_3299IMG_3301IMG_3302

AND. . .over spring break Lincoln started sitting up!!!  Yay little Lincoln!  These pictures were taken with my phone so they are not the best but you get the idea.

And lastly (and a bit out of order) here are a few more shots of our visit with Ashley.

DSC_0002

I made dinner and Jackson and Ashley cleaned the kitchen.

I think Jack had a bit of a crush!

And that’s the first few weeks of March!
