Yes, I’ve skipped past several things and am behind but wanted to get this in while it’s still fresh. I took Lincoln to the doctor today and he’s doing very well. Here are his numbers (and Bear’s for comparison-I need to look up Jack’s):
Height: Weight:
Lincoln: 24.75 inches 96% 13 pounds 13 ounces 92%
Baron: 26 inches 95+% 12 pounds 12 ounces 76%
Lincoln’s head was 17.5 inches putting him in the 100%. Bear went to a different pediatrician at this age which is why his chart only went up to 95+% and Lincoln’s chart goes up to 100%.
So, Lincoln is definitely getting enough to eat. He’s still got some nasal congestion and so the pediatrician recommended that I take dairy out of my diet. . .that’s right no cheese. Cheese and I are BFF’s but the little man is definitely worth it. She was also concerned about the shape of his head and so I am now taking him to the chiropractor for cranial sacral therapy 3 times a week until we move (the move date has been moved to October 18th). And she said to move his bassinet away from my bed because for a baby that big he should be sleeping much longer at night. Currently he wakes up around every 2 1/2 to 4 hours. A few times he has gone 5 hours and those times were amazing. He’s also had a few nights of eating every 90 minutes and those nights were pretty tough. But hey-Lincoln being our last baby I’m keeping in perspective that while it feels like I will never be rested again, the reality is that this is a short blip on the radar of my life. He’s a super happy, incredible precious little guy who is just adored by both his parents and his two older brothers. As a serious lover of the baby stage I am soaking in every minute of his tininess and love the baby snuggles. It still amazes me that Lincoln being the 3rd boy is every bit as exciting and incredible as Jackson was as the first. I think the 3rd is even more wonderful though because I have relaxed. As I am typing this I keep glancing over at my little buddy who is peacefully sleeping in his swing and thinking how blessed I am to have such great kids.
