Back on September 8th we celebrated Jackson turning 5 with a gymnastics party. It was by far the easiest party ever and the kids loved it. I accidentally planned his party for the first day of Plano soccer and it seemed like 75% of those invited had to decline due to their first soccer game. But he still had plenty of friends despite my oversight in planning.
Unfortunately the pictures didn’t turn out very well because of the lighting and constant movement. Lots of blurry shots but I’m still posting them!
Jack and Bear playing around before the party started.
Friends arriving.
Nana and Papa. Living in Plano Jackson has always had at least 2 and usually 3 (all) sets of grandparents and his great grandmother at all of his parties. I’m not sure if that will continue in Austin, it was kind of sad thinking about that. Nanny was still sick so she and Paw Paw couldn’t make it.
Playing games.
Jack’s “best girlfriend” Rachel from school was there and started crying because Jackson wasn’t paying enough attention to her. After that they buddied up and played together almost the entire remainder of the party.
Run of the mill, delicious, chocolate, sugary cake. I have given up. . .hopefully next year when I’m not dealing with a move and a newborn I’ll be securely back on the wagon and make a healthy cake!
Sweet little Ella.
Grandmommy and David.
Sophia.
Lincoln helping the party to be a success by sleeping so that I could hang with the other kids.
My favorite 4 year old, Ellie!
Happy Charlie.
Nana is always ready to hold a grandbaby.
Yep, that’s Jay hanging upside down.
I just can’t get enough of that contagious smile!
Bear trying to be like daddy on the rings.
These two employees were working very hard on our party.
Time for cake and snacks!
Me cutting the cake, proof that I was there!
Keanan impressed us all with his amazing upper body strength and ability to hang for what seemed like forever!
Sweet Trinity and Rachel choosing from the party favor basket.
Seth refusing to smile.
Still in disbelief that my big love is 5!
Some of my favorite kiddos, Rileigh, Cain and Bear, in the foam pit.
The party was a lot of fun and the kiddos definitely slept well that night!
As soon as we got home Jackson opened this gift from Ellie, Charlie and Keanan and just had to immediately put on his cool Captain American costume.
Thanks so much to all of our family and friends for celebrating Jack’s big day with us!
