The Last Two Weeks In Pictures
In order to catch up with some expedience I’m just going to summarize our last two weeks.
After school we’ve been going to the park with Adrienne and the kids. It’s been so nice to have time to hang out and talk and let the kids run out the rest of their energy!
Last week Jennifer, Michael and little Michael came over to bring us dinner and meet Lincoln. We had great visit!
Jackson got all kinds of backyard safari stuff for his birthday and has LOVED playing with all of it. The tent has been set up in the living room and he spends quite a bit of time in it each day.
Little Michael did not like his mommy holding another baby!
Jackson loved playing with little Michael and was so sad when they had to leave.
Lincoln has had a very well documented first few months of life!
I just love these little booties and hat.
Happy dude.
I have pictures of all 3 boys in this outfit. I wish I had them all on one hard drive so that I could post the comparison pictures.
Last week at church we found out that Jackson’s favorite girlfriend from school, Rachel, now attends our church. They were SO excited to see each other!
A few weeks ago Grandmommy took mom and me to a tea room for lunch. It was such a wonderful time-I believe we were there for almost 3 hours. Lots of great conversations and laughing. I am so blessed!
With Jay traveling I’ve been doing some more daddy type things recently. For example Jackson asked me to build an incredible hulk for him and. . .ta da! I think I did a pretty good job of following the directions.
Jackson was playing with it and said “mom, if Barbie dolls looked like this instead of like weird and boring girl dolls I would love them. Actually, if Barbie dolls were really hulk dolls then I would play with them every day!”
I just love Bear’s crazy faces!
And baby Lincoln. . .
Lincoln Cooing
Lincoln has started cooing a bit and it is so precious! It’s so sweet every time he coos or smiles or does anything at all because both Jack and Bear exclaim, “give me the camera!” Both big brothers love to take pictures and videos of Lincoln. He’s a very loved little man.
Our New Home
The morning after Jack’s party I loaded up Lincoln and all of his gear and we took off for Austin to house hunt for the 3 days. Jay joined us later that evening, we had to take two cars anyway, because he had to stay in Austin the entire week for work.
A huge thank you to Adrienne, Jennifer and Mom & David who kept the big boys for us while we were gone.
We looked at over 20 houses and found one that we both loved and then each had a different second choice. We put in offers on all 3 houses and my second choice was accepted so we took that to mean that God wanted us in that house.
So, here’s our new home in Austin. . .
Downstairs we have the kitchen, office, living room, formal dinning, half bath and laundry room. I included this picture because Jay is super excited to have a proper tornado shelter type room under the stairs. Jay is shown working in this picture. I had been excited to have few days with him and the poor guy had to work almost every minute of the entire time I was there.
Study and then formal dinning room.
Kitchen.
My favorite part is the backyard. Unfortunately we don’t have any trees but hey, at least there is space for the boys to play!
My second favorite is the playroom.
We are on a street that ends in a cul de sac. My favorite part of the neighborhood is that there are TONS of kids. On Sunday when I first saw the place there were 11 little boys riding their bikes. In addition the sales guy for the home (it’s a spec home in a master planned community) told me that there were 67 kids on the 3 streets surrounding ours that attend the elementary school in the neighborhood. All 3 schools are less than a mile from our house. I’m praying that there will be a lot of new friends for our family in this neighborhood. Jay really liked another neighborhood and house better due to mature trees etc. . .I’m hoping that the kids and fun will quickly outweigh the rest!
While I’m still sad to leave friends, family and church, it does feel much better to at least have a place to move to!
And of course, I couldn’t go the whole 3 days without taking a few shots of little Lincoln. He’s just too cute!
