My Heroes!

A while back I was working on the computer, dealing with clients, etc, and Jackson (dressed as superman) wanted me to play with them.  I told him that I had some work to do and he replied, “mom, super heroes are very busy, we won’t always be able to be here with you!”  He was just being silly but it struck me (yes, more hormonal pregnancy sentimentality) that really, my sweet little heroes wouldn’t always be here.  The pastor at Bear’s dedication said that in the early years of parenting the days drag on forever but the years fly by.  This is so very true.  Sometimes when I am trying to get things done I realized that my boys just want me to laugh, play, cuddle and pretend with them.  So, I put it all away and played the damsel in distress for them to rescue.  It was a great afternoon and my little heroes were as happy as could be.  Someday they will want to be out with friends and won’t want to snuggle and talk (endlessly) about everything and I know I’ll look back at these pictures and remember these incredible years.

My boys LOVE to jump and the mattress just makes it more fun.

Bear is definitely a shoe loving man.  He always wears either Lennon’s green rainboots or cowboy boots.
