We were so excited to have Nanny and Paw Paw visit last weekend! Sadly, Nanny had been sick all summer so it was their first time here since Jackson's first birthday party so when I say he could barely sleep the night before. . .it's no exaggeration! For days Jackson was asking each morning, "are Nanny and Paw Paw coming my house today?"
Nanny and Paw Paw brought Jackson the cutest singing Christmas puppy. He adores it and plays with it constantly.
Running from Nanny and Paw Paw's tickles.
Present time.
Jackson giving his grandparents a present.
More tickles.
Can you tell how happy Jackson is to have Nanny and Paw Paw here?
Jax and Paw Paw.
Upside down Jack!
Jack and daddy having a snack.
Jay and Paw Paw worked ALL DAY trimming our trees. We had gotten a very high quote for tree trimming so it was a huge blessing that they were able to do it themselves!
Jackson begged to go outside with Jay and Paw Paw while they were working. We had to keep him inside for some of it because of the falling branches. He kept saying, "mommy, I need my tools. Then I help Daddy and Paw Paw!" When he finally got to go outside he happily sat watching their every move. He was so proud to be out with the men:)
When he first went outside he saw that both Daddy and Paw Paw had cups of tea so he immediately came in and got his sippy cup. Of course he then had to move their cups apart to place his in the middle.
Saturday we went to the polar express with the Hirst family. It was SO much fun.
Watching the preshow before the trian ride.
At one point during the preshow they called up all of the kids to dance and sing. Jackson ran right up and stood in the first row.
All of the cute kiddos dancing and singing.
Singing jingle bells.
Jackson hugging his BFF, Ellie. She is so great about his hugs/physical assaults.
Charlie enjoying the show.
This was Nanny's first train ride.
Clapping and singing along to the Christmas tunes.
The lighting on the train wasn't great for pictures.
Jackson is getting a little nervous about the "real" Santa who is on his way.
Ellie, on the other hand, is very excited about Santa.
Jackson did much better on the train than he did at school. He wasn't exactly excited but he didn't scream or cry.
He did manage to say "hello, choo choo train please" while looking very uncertain.
Watching to be sure Santa has left our train car.
One of the few shots of the 3 of us.
Jackson and mommy.
Finally, with Santa a safe distance away, Jackson can smile again!
Upside down Jackson always gets a laugh.
Jay and Nanny.
We had such a fun day!
Jackson. Adores. Baby Charlie!
Charlie seems to like Jack as well.
Jack and Ellie playing with the giant snow globe.
These two always seem to be up to some mischief.
Gaga, Jackson and Nanny relaxing on the sofa.
Thanks so much to Nanny and Paw Paw for such a great visit. We really appreciate all of the help and love you guys so much!
