The day after I hit the deer and Jack went to the ER we got a rental car and got ready to go to Gaga’s the following day. We’d been looking forward to and planning for her 60th birthday for months. Jenna and Jeremy were coming in town and we were all super excited for the festivities to begin!
My guys are always excited to be at Gaga’s house!
Jay wasn’t too comfortable with Lincoln being on a bar stool so he put chairs lined with pillows all around him. I sure love my safety obsessed boy scout husband!
All of the boys were thrilled to have Aunt Sissy in town.
It was so amazing to have Jenna and Jeremy there. The 3 of us being together is so much fun and I enjoyed every minute of our sibling reunion.
Sweet Gaga let Lincoln play in the sink. He loved it but one of us had to stay right next to him the entire time.
Jay and David out by the fire.
Lincoln loved snuggling with Uncle Jer.
The boys love their batman jackets from Gaga and David.
The pictures are a little out of order but Jay took the three boys to Reunion Tower on Saturday afternoon. The Sheriff kids, mom and Grandmommy got pedicures and went to lunch at a tea room in Plano. A huge thanks to Jay for taking the boys! It was his first time doing anything with all 3 alone and he was a rock star. Poor Jackson had an asthma attack at the top of reunion tower and Jay had to dash down and across the street to the car to get the meds. So, it wasn’t a stress free day for Jay, but he handled it very well regardless!
Pedicure time! I think it was my first pedicure since Jackson was born. . .not sure. Either way, it was amazing!
Party time! So many of mom’s great friends showed up to celebrate her, it was a wonderful night full of laughs and great memories.
Sweet Grandmommy searched high and low for the perfect party napkins. She found them and we all loved them!
BJ’s best friend, David, has kept in touch with us throughout the years and mom was very touched that he showed up to her party. He is such a nice, Christian guy with a lovely wife and two adorable little girls. I can’t help but think of BJ like that at this point in his life as well.
Jay looking suave wearing Bear’s tie.
We made a video for mom that had pictures from throughout the years and voice mails from LOTS and LOTS of friends and family. I think the video was over 90 minutes due to all of the voice mails. She loved it and I loved hearing all of the messages from people who adore my sweet mom.
You can’t tell from the pictures but poor Jackson was absolutely WIRED from his asthma medicine. Bear lets Jackson set the tone for the energy level in the house and then just follows suit. . .so both were bouncing off of the walls.
Both Uncle Jer and (former next door neighbor) John Randall spent a lot of time wrestling with the boys. Thanks so much to both of them!
Jackson with sweet Grandmommy.
Fun Aunt Sissy with both bigs on her back.
Jackson was so excited to see Adrienne and Damian.
And, we got some rare Sheriff family pictures.
Papa and Nana were so kind to keep Lincoln during the party. They took him to church and then dinner and then put him to bed for me. It was so nice to be able to enjoy with party knowing that Lincoln was having fun with his awesome grandparents!
Again with the out of order pictures. . .here we are picking up dinner on Friday night.
And at the tea room on Saturday afternoon.
I don’t know if I’ll ever tire of taking pictures of my babies sleeping. So peaceful and precious.
On Sunday we had a little birthday brunch for mom. Grandmommy made her famous pistachio chocolate chip cake and it was, as always, fabulous.
My beautiful mom, love her so much!
And my 4 loves at the top of the reunion tower on Saturday.
Jack, Jer, Jay and David right before Jenna and Jer left for the airport.
Mom’s birthday weekend was so much fun and such a huge blessing. Having Jen and Jer there made it the best weekend possible. I love you mom and it was such an honor to celebrate your birthday with such a great weekend filled with so many great activities!
