A few weeks back the kids and I went to Plano for a few days during the week. My dad had invited me to attend a musical with him and the Hirst family was about to leave for 4 months in the UK.
Before we left Jay took these pictures of Jackson. Jay drinks coffee in the morning and Jackson (who always watches and wants to be exactly like his sweet daddy) was having some water in a mug trying to look just like Jay.
The entire time we were there we had plans from sun up to sun down. My wonderful (and always more than happy to babysit) mom kept the boys each night so that I could attned some MOMS events with our old church.
First on the list was a super fun Pinterest party.
The pinterest craft that I brought was this little summer bucket list with fun ideas for things to do with the kids this summer.
It was so nice to hang with all of the ladies from the MOMS table that I used to be a part of.
The next day we went to the park with the Hirst kiddos.
I love seeing Ellie and Jack being such buddies as big kids.
Cutie middle boys!
5 months apart and buds since birth. . .
I’m amazed by how big and mature these little 5 year olds are becoming.
Jack wanted to take flowers to his favorite former teacher, Mrs. Charlena while we were in town. He was so excited to see her and so proud to give her roses. Jackson had been begging me to send him to school for a day while we were there. I told him that it wasn’t possible because he was no longer a student at the preschool. As soon as Mrs. Charlena found out that we were there for a few days she asked if he could come for a day. He was BEYOND ecstatic. So he got to go to school on Thursday and be with his wonderful teacher and all of his sweet friends. What a blessing that little school was for my boys!
Mrs. Charlena came across to the park to be sure that Jackson was going to come on Thursday.
What a special lady to be so loved by so many children.
Ellie was perfect little mommy playing with Lincoln.
Charlie trying to feed Lincoln a wood chip.
Lauren and Charlie are in the same class.
Little Keanan is keeping up with the big kids now.
Back at Gaga’s I was fully protected by a Optimus Prime and a Storm Trooper. . .
Curly boys.
Bear took these pictures on my phone and did a pretty great job!
Wednesday we went to Adrienne’s for a play date and the kids had a ball. Hard to believe that we now have 6 kids between us!
Sweet Ellie holds her own among all of the boys.
Adrienne let the kids make creepy crawlers.
I love this shot of these two-
Crazy middle boys.
We tried to recreate this picture with the middles. . .
But it didn’t quite work out. . .
I was so excited for a fun night out with my dad. I’m blessed with such an awesome father and kid free time with him is really special. And even more fun was that we got to go see my favorite musical, Wicked, at the Dallas Summer Musicals. He had gotten great seats from a client and unfortunately Laura wasn’t able to attend.
Thanks again to mom for keeping the boys for me!
After I picked up Jackson from school on Thursday we met the Hirst kids at Jamba Juice. After not having seen them basically since November it was such a treat to be together so much. And since they were leaving the next week for 4 months in the UK we knew that we needed to pack in the play time!
And, as always the boys begged me to drive them by our old house. Looks jut the same other than the new grass.
We left Friday to come back home to Austin for an awesome weekend of assembling the swing set with Nanny and Paw Paw.
