Our last Friday in Plano (10/12) we went to the Zoo with the Morris family. We had a great time despite being sad knowing that it was our last zoo outing before the move.
Lincoln was just happy to hang out in the stroller in the morning.
Parker wanted no part of the camel until Rileigh said she would hold on to him from behind. Sweet sister rode with him.
Baron loved the ride.
And Jackson, of course, loved it as well.
Next we feed the Lorikeet’s. These tiny little cups with a few drops of liquid cost $1.
Surprisingly enough the double stroller was a big hit for the 4 big kids. They had to take turns.
Jackson had 7 birds on him at one time-I would have been totally freaked out but he loved it.
I love that Bear and Parker are such buddies!
It’s hard to believe that this picture was taken almost 3 years ago just weeks before they were born. . .
It’s amazing how the time has flown by!
As always, the carousel was a hit!
Jack and Ri rode in the spinning nest 6 times.
Sweet friends!
Lincoln was as easy as can be in the moby wrap all day.
The bigs pushed the stroller, containing the littles, to the car.
After 6 hours at the zoo we quickly changed clothes and headed to Adrienne’s house for a going away movie night. It was so sweet of her to host a movie night for us and the kids were thrilled!
Papa and Jay hanging the screen.
All of the kids getting ready to watch The Lorax.
It was such a great night but looking at all of these kids that I love so much was tough. We’ve been with this group at least once a week for almost 5 years. I love the families and the kids so much.
Being with everyone made me think back to when Jack and Ellie were babies and Adrienne and I really wanted to have a play group. We wanted a group like this so much that we just created it. Ugh, leaving is really hard!
At the end of the night the kids were dancing around and singing and playing and it was just tough. Realizing what we were leaving was really hitting me. I know that God’s moved us for a reason and I know looking back it will make sense but I’m not quite there yet.
Thanks to the Morris fam for a great day at the zoo and to the Hirst fam for a great movie night send off-we love ya’ll!

Ah, Hill. I've been right where you are and know how you feel. It's so sad to leave good friends, but try to take comfort in knowing you are a wonderful long-distance friend. And although it's not quite the same, you won't loose these friendships despite not being together as much as you'd all like. Big hug to you!
Why are we so bad at getting pictures together?! Grr.
