The week before Christmas the boys and I met Grandmommy at North Park Mall for our traditional morning seeing the trains and scrooge. It was, as always, so much fun!
The trains were so crowded this year (note to self: go in November next year!) that I only got one picture. Jackson LOVES going to the Texas State Fair and especially seeing and hearing Big Tex. So, he was particularly excited about this part of the exhibit. He was thrilled to see Big Tex!
Jack waiting for Scrooge. He brought his favorite magazine (Adrienne got him a subscription for is birthday) and “read it in his mind” while he waited.
Bear was not as patient but still did very well.
Finally, Scrooge made his debut! Because I remember seeing Scrooge (and the 12 Days of Christmas, which sadly isn’t there anymore) every year as a child it’s so fun for me to experience it with my kiddos.
Jack of course volunteers for everything.
This is as close as I got to a good picture of the boys with Grandmommy.
Jack took this one.
After Scrooge and a wonderful lunch we went to let Jackson play on this “thing” below. All of the kids like to run up it and then slide back down. Stunt man Jack of course took it to a new level.
After introducing himself to the other kids he told them that “a real stunt man would take off his sock and shoes and get a running start.”
And of course instead of running up and sliding down he ran up and climbed up into the plants. Of course the other moms were aghast that he would do such a thing and I made him get down.
Bear and GM laughing together.
After a while Bear wanted in on the action and found a smaller structure to play on.
We had such a fun day and it’s even more special that we are always able to share it with Grandmommy. Thanks GM!
