Extreme Home Makeover. . .

A few weekends ago Jay took Jackson to Nanny and Paw Paw's house. They had a total blast and Jay is going to do a post with all of the pictures and stories later. Thank you so much to all 3 of them for taking such wonderful care of our little man:) While I missed my guys terribly I also had a really great weekend. Mandy came up from San Antonio and we worked our tails off. How many friends would take days off of work to come help you paint your house? Not many but Mandy is one of them! We worked until midnight 3 of the 4 nights she was here. By the end of the weekend we had redone the dining room and Baron's nursery. Also our neighbor came and tiled our kitchen floor. The whole weekend was fantastic! Here are some pictures!

Before starting on the dining room.

Our new and improved dining room!

We still have to hang the window treatments but you get the idea:)

Baron's Nursery
I've included this picture just to show how far this crazy room has come. It had all of Baron's baby stuff PLUS tons of Jay's work stuff all crammed in (by this point we'd already gotten rid of the desks etc. making it look even worse. Luckily my awesome mom took a day off of work and kept Jackson for us to clean for an entire day. So, here's a scary before picture. . .

Miraculously by the end of the day Baron's room looked like this. So this is what Mandy and I started with:

For Baron's room we had Mom and Aunt Clare to help us as well. It was so much fun and they all did a fantastic job! I remember when Mom finished her awesome mural in Jackson's room how excited I was and how ready for him it made me feel. Well, now I feel almost ready for Baron. I'm sure when his room is complete I will be 100%. But anyway, I LOVE the results and can easily say that I am super happy with both of my boys rooms:)
Here are some pictures from along the way:

Mom/Gaga working on all of the edges for Baby Bear's room.

First color finished and looking good!

Clare measuring the walls for the stripes.

Taping done!

All strpies painted. . .

"Master Painter" Aunt Clare looking happy with the results.

We still have to get the crib that Nana and Papa are loaning us (thanks SO much!!!) and do a few other things and then I will post pictures of Baby Bear's final nursery.

And, of course big brother Jackson was not happy having pictures taken of Bear's room and not his so here's Jackson's super cute room:)

Thanks so much to everyone for all of the help and especially to Mandy, you rock girl!!!!

I LOVE IT!!!!!!! What a difference a modern light fixture made to your dining room. And Baron's stripes turned out great, too. Can't wait to see the completed nursery.
