Jay, my mom and I have been planning Jackson's 2nd birthday party for the last two weeks. Jay's family never made a huge deal out of parties so he has been telling me that we are going a little wild. I was laughing with Carolyn about it the other day and she agreed that yes, I was going a little over board, and that I also came by it honestly. She continued that some of her favorite memories growing up were of my super fun parties (way to go Mom/Gaga). So, while we may be doing a lot for a 2nd party we are making memories (or at least will when Jackson is older) that he and his friends will cherish for a lifetime!
So, thanks to my awesome parents for the great parties and hopefully Jackson will have wonderful memories of his parties as well!

Yeah, it must be a family thing because when you were talking to me about his party it all seemed perfectly normal. I guess we are just products of our own childhoods, huh? Party on Jackson! We are all sad not to be with you today!
