Santa Came!

Jackson's big gift from Santa this year was an awesome train table! Here are some pictures of how excited he was when he saw the train (all he asked for this year was a train and a guitar like Mia's).

Santa has been here:)

Jack's new train table.

Here comes Jackson excited to see what Santa has left for him.

"This mine?"

Already obsessed with the choo choo train.

The carwash is his favorite part.

Jackson loves his grandmommy!

Needless to say Jackson is thrilled with the gift!

My sweet boy.

Later that night John and Patrice came over. Jackson LOVES "Trice" and had to sit by her and keep giving her hugs. At one point he let her hold Bob, only after warning her to be very gentle because Bob was a tiny new baby.

Christmas with Nana and Papa

Jay and I have discussed lately that this really has been our best Christmas ever. Despite external stresses etc. it has been so amazing to see Jackson's complete joy over everything. Christmas Eve we awoke to a little voice over the monitor quietly singing, "dashing through the snow. . ." Jackson quietly sang jingle bells for about 10 minutes before I went in to get him. It was Jay's turn to get up with him but after hearing that sweet song I just had to spend some time with my little man. We just sang and played and had such a great morning. His excitment this season has been such fun. I also think it's been the most awesome Christmas due to all of the family time we've been able to spend.
We spent Christmas Eve with Nana and Papa and had such a good time. We missed the Francis family so much but still had a great time with Noah, Jessica and Jeremy.

This is a LOT of snow for Texas. Having a white Christmas is rare!

Warming up after the hot tub.

Who gave this man a knife?

Jax wearing his precious Christmas pj's from Nana.

Jay teaching Noah how to carve the turkey.

Jackson kept saying he was an elf in his new jammies. His elf line however was, "Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!"

It was such a fun night!

Loving on my little wild man.

Looking for Santa's sleigh.

Jackson opening his Mickey Mouse art table.

Dad, Jer and Freckles opening presents.

Jackson opening his baby brother doll.

Jay excited about a gift card to buffalo wild wings.

Jackson was so excited about his paints, markers, crayons etc.

Jackson was cracking everyone up exclaiming, "oh no my gosh!" everytime he opened another gift.

One of Jackson's favorite gifts was a little brother doll with a stroller. He named his baby Bob and has been attached to him since Christmas Eve.

I love Dad's expression here as he learns that his super cool IR remote has already been programmed by Noah.

Uncle Noah and soon to be Aunt Jess.

I so wish this wasn't blurry but oh well. Christmas 2009 group picture.

Our guys.

Noah was very excited about the pickle that dad had picked out for his stocking:)

Christmas morning snow.

Jackson was pretty tired after such a fun night.

Thanks to Nana, Papa, Uncle Jer, Uncle Noah and Aunt Jess for such an awesome Christmas! Jackson had such a great time being loved on by all of you. . .and he loves all of the gifts as well.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!!

Lately Jackson has been screaming (and I do mean at the top of his lungs) when we drive by any type of Christmas lights. He LOVES the lights, the penguins, Santa Claus, snowmen etc. Anyway, Gaga had asked us if she could buy him a special treat, a specially made ginger bread man from a bakery owned by a woman who has now become a friend. Supposedly they are sweetened with molasses etc. but I'm sure there's a good amount of sugar involved. Anyway, wanting to start a fun tradition for Jack to look forward to each year Jay and I decided he could have some of the cookie while we looked at Christmas lights. So, the Friday before last we put Jackson in his favorite pj's and got ready to drive around looking at Christmas lights and eat his very first cookie.

Jackson was so excited to see this amazing cookie! I had told him about it earlier in the day so by the time Gaga got here he was waiting by the door. He ran out yelling, "did you bring me a special ginger man?"

We had such a good time just telling him about the lights we were going to see.

His first bite of a cookie! I figured this was a safe cookie because I told him he could have one every Christmas. So, it's not the type of thing he'll see and want from the store or any other common event.

"Can I have MORREEE???"

Here he said, "Gaga, I need kiss from you."

I think he likes it.

"Nobody need touch my cookie. It's only for me!"

He actually did give Gaga, mommy and daddy several bites and then laughed when we asked for more.

We went to a nearby neighborhood to look at the beautiful lights. Jay and Jackson were equally impressed by the house who had their lights synchronized to a certain radio station. I had grown up going to see the lights at this same neighborhood so it was neat to go with Gaga and my guys.

"No more pictures mommy, you blinding me!" He had just heard someone else say that and repeated it to me.

Jackson only made it through part of the head of the cookie. I wanted him to have a special treat but not to over do it on sugar. He needs no help with energy:) We all had an awesome night and definitely want to make it an annual tradition!
