Great Wolf Lodge

First of all, yes, we are totally “that couple” that will sit through a 3 hour time share presentation just to get a free night at the Great Wolf Lodge.  Hey, we’re in a recession and the kids love it.  Anyway, when we got there the whole horrible sales pitch was totally worth it because the kids were in heaven.

Gaga and David came with us and tried to rent a separate room but the entire hotel was booked solid.  So, all 6 of us were in 1 room but with 2 double beds, a sofa bed and a pack n play we made it work!

The water park was where we spend the majority of the time and we didn’t get any pictures of that but they had a ton of other activities as well.  Saturday night they had a Halloween party and the kids both dressed up.

Jackson had a ball trick or treating in the hotel and didn’t even mind that he couldn’t keep any of the candy.

After trick or treating we went to story time.

Some of the parents were even dressed up.  Check out this Alice and Wonderland family!

Then Jackson wanted to be in a picture with Wily Wolf, the mascot of the Great Wolf Lodge.

All of the kids got free wolf ears and a tail.

The next morning Mom and David treated us to the wonderful buffet breakfast at the hotel before hitting the water park.

For some unknown reason I decided we should take pictures after two straight days at the water park.

Do you think we look rested (side note, lots of snoring resulted in very little sleep)??

We have been so blessed to do some really fun family things while Jay is unemployed.  We sure will miss him when he gets another job and is gone during the days!
