More Last Days of Plano. . .

I wasn’t very good about taking pictures all of our last lunches/dinners/play dates/etc. but here are a few more:

More fun at the park with the Hirst kiddos!

Lincoln with little Coen Nail.  We’ve been buddies with the Nails since we were in a community group with them (and Grandmommy and Bill) right after we were married until a few months after Jackson was born.  Jack and Dylan are only 7 weeks apart and Coen and Lincoln are 3 months apart.

Adrienne hosted a really fun play date where Emilie led us all in making the cutest Halloween craft ever.  Here’s A getting Charlie’s foot print.

Bear thought having his foot painted tickled and giggled the whole time.

Steffanie did all of the writing on the signs.

Lincoln may be getting a bit big for his bassinet.

Both older boys just beg to hold Lincoln.

About 10 years ago I worked as a loan officer for Countrywide Home Loans.  I worked closely with Jennifer, Alissia and Linda.  Since that time the four of us have had lunch together every few months.  Before we moved we met for lunch at 11 a.m. and before I knew it I had to rush to get the bigs from school because it was almost 3.  So much fun!

IMG_2100

8 days before we moved Baron walked into the living room holding a baseball bat, I know, I know rookie mistake even having a bat in a home with 3 boys.  Anyway, he was standing by the window and said, “hey mommy, knock knock” and tapped the bat into the window.  Yep, it immediately broke.  Luckily it was fixed several phone calls, a few trips to window specialty shops and $140 later.  And yes, I’ve now removed the bat from the house.  But really, it was an accident.

Lesley and Lincoln.  Les and I have been friends since the 9th grade.

IMG_2104

More snuggles for Jack and Papa.  Basically for our last month we had Papa, Gaga and Grandmommy  each over at least once a week.  It was such a blessing to have so much time with our beloved family!

DSC_0001DSC_0003

The boys love being with Grandmommy and Gaga.  The 4 of them went several places together including Lego Land and had so much fun!  Baron is especially attached to Grandmommy and always has been.  She’s been one of his very favorite people since he was a baby.

Gaga and a very tired Lincoln.

At the hospital I got a coupon for a free carseat cover etc.  I finally remembered to use it and I love his new blue carseat stuff.

IMG_2108

Lincoln and I hung out at Adrienne’s one day when my big boys were both in school.  Lincoln was quite popular with the Hirst 3.

IMG_2115

That night I had dinner with Kristin and Adrienne.  I am so going to miss my amazing, life long Plano friends!

And that brings us to our final few days which I’ll have to post about another day.  Since we’ve been in Austin Lincoln has gone on sleeping strike. . .so I’m exhausted and heading to bed!

Fair Day 2012

On September 30th we went to the fair with Nana and Papa.
Going to the fair with them has become such a fun tradition and we look forward to it each year.  With Nana traveling for work we don’t get to see her too often so it was especially nice to have a full day of fun.  And of course, Papa is one of Jackson’s favorite people in the entire world.  My kids are so very blessed to have 3 amazing sets of grandparents!
It was sprinkling when we got there which luckily kept the crowds away but didn’t keep us from riding rides or doing anything else that we wanted to do.

IMG_1961

Jack and Bear playing in the awesome new Lexus.  Notice safety conscious Bear is putting on his seatbelt.  It’s hard to imagine these boys ever actually getting into a car together and one of them driving.

IMG_1962

Annual obligatory Big Tex pictures.  Nana was wearing Lincoln in the moby wrap.

IMG_1964IMG_1965IMG_1966

The big ship was the favorite ride of both Jack and Bear.

IMG_1967

We loved watching the boys laugh in the bumper cars.

IMG_1975

That’s right, cotton candy. . .being consumed by Adams boys.  Something crazy happens to me at the fair, when I have a newborn, and am about to move.

IMG_1980

On the ferris wheel!

IMG_1981

Little Hands on the Farm always makes me think of Mia because it was her favorite when the Francis clan lived in Texas.  My boys love it too, partially because it’s awesome and partly because they know it was Mia’s fav.

IMG_1985

Getting ready to plant his crops.

IMG_1986

Feeding the chickens.

IMG_1987

Checking on the crops.

IMG_1992

Halfway through the day Shelby sent me this picture (from the movie, The Princess Bride) that he had photoshopped with Lincoln’s face.  I was hysterical.  Uncle Shelby is crazy funny and has mad skills.

IMG_2001

Thanks to Nana and Papa for such a super fun day!

Phew!

Alright, well we’ve been in our new home a little over a week now.  We are definitely not settled but it’s time to start catching up on the blog.  So, here’s a picture summary of our last month in Plano.

I know Jackson will someday not be thrilled that I am posting this but it just cracks me up.  He ran into the bathroom and said, “look mommy, I’m a nurser!”  That’s right, he’s got nursing pads stuck to his nipples!  I sent the picture to Jay at work and he said he died a little when he saw it.  Jack definitely keeps us laughing!
IMG_1788

On September 19th the Feller family took us out to a goodbye dinner.  Amanda is the boys all time favorite babysitter and they just adore her.  She’s been such a huge help to me not only by watching the kids but also by having such a special relationship with Jackson.  She’s called before and asked what Jack was doing and could she take him to the park or out to eat or just to hang out.  Her mother, Paddy has also been a great friend/mentor of mine through the MOMS Connection ministry.  Their family is a huge blessing to us!

IMG_1796IMG_1802

They love to goof off and take pictures!

IMG_1804

We’ll definitely look forward to seeing Amanda when we are in town!

IMG_1805

Here we are at a park play date that same afternoon.  Lincoln was relaxing with baby Eden in the shade.

DSC_0047

I love that 3rd little man!

DSC_0063

Bear and Parker have been buddies all their lives.  I can’t believe that they look so old here!

It was so awesome going to the park with the Hirst gang each day after school.  Here are more fun park pics.

BFF’s Bear and Charlie.

Jack was insistent that this action shot make the blog.  Here he is jumping from his swing.

Sweet middle boys!

Sweet baby K.

Yes, Jackson is ALWAYS climbing.

Jackson, Deya (Ellie’s friend from gymnastics) and Ellie.

DSC_0110

These 3 got along very well.

DSC_0112

Later that night Papa came over and he and Jackson got to “battle.”  With Jay traveling all week Jack’s only battles were when Papa would come.  I was too pooped for high energy combat.

DSC_0120

Lincoln is just changing every day.

DSC_0121

Bear often decides that he is the baby and needs to be in the baby carrier. . .

IMG_1816IMG_1817

One day while the bigs were at school Adrienne and I  (and of course the babies) went to Einstein’s for a wonderful 3+ hour breakfast.  I had to get a picture of little Keanan who sat happily and let us chat away!

IMG_1813

A few days later we went to a bounce place and they had a hurricane simulator.  Jackson was very proud to pay with HIS money for he and Adrienne and the other kids to go inside.
They had a great time!

IMG_1853IMG_1854

Sweeties having lunch.  After lunch Jackson insisted on paying for me to sit in the massage chair.  He’s quite the generous little man.

IMG_1861

That evening we went to the surprise gender reveal party for Bill and Ann-Renee.  It was such an honor to be included in such a special moment with them.  I’m so excited to meet the sweet little boy who will be blessed to have them as parents!

Gender Reveal Party (2)

More pictures of Lincoln.  I keep saying that I’m posting lots of pictures of him for Nanny and Paw Paw (we’re so excited that Nanny is feeling better and we get to go to Beach City this weekend!!) and that’s true.  But, I’m also taking lots of pictures because I just want to remember every moment with him.  He is such a joy just like his big brothers.  I’ve heard stories about how the 3rd baby ends up with no pictures so I’m really trying not to let that happen.

DSC_0001

I mean really, how could I not just love that little face!?!

DSC_0006DSC_0011

While baby shopping for a gift for Ann-Renee and Bill I came across kiddo shaving kits.  Score for the bigs!

DSC_0016DSC_0017DSC_0018

Nana and Papa came again for dinner and Nana had some reading time with Jack.

IMG_1887

Here’s Lincoln on 9/25, his two month birthday.

IMG_1878IMG_1884

On September 28th we went to the zoo with the Morris and Hirst mommies and kiddos.

Jack has always loved Charlie.  In fact, when Baron was first born Jack insisted that Adrienne and Damian had stolen the name Charlie from us and that we should call Baron Charlie.  Funny dude!  And yes, he picked out his own clothes for the day. . .

IMG_1891

The Adams, Morris and Hirst kiddos minus Keanan and Lincoln.

IMG_1894

Fun feeding the giraffes.

IMG_1900

Bear being Bear.

IMG_1905

Jackson wanted me to send this picture to Nana because she loves giraffes so much.

IMG_1907

That’s right, my 5 year old wanted to be in the stroller.

IMG_1915

My kids love the elephants.

IMG_1917

Bear goes for the more traditional approach.

IMG_1919IMG_1926

Jack and Rileigh.

IMG_1930

Lincoln was in the moby wrap the entire day thanks to a tutorial by Adrienne.  Since then he has basically lived in that wrap.  Such a life saver.  I can’t believe that I didn’t use it with the other boys!

IMG_1932

While in the reptile area Jack and Rileigh were looking at snakes and Bear and Parker were with me.  Jessica came in totally grossed out saying that we needed to leave because the snake was eating.  I immediately grabbed Bear knowing that he would think it was cool and took him to where Jack and Ri were watching the snake feed.  Jess said that my actions explained why God kept giving me boys.  The boys totally loved it.

IMG_1935

After being at the zoo from 10 a.m. to 4:30 the guys just wanted to lay around and snuggle Lincoln.  He, of course, loved it.

IMG_1948

And two more pictures of teeny man Linc.

IMG_1957IMG_1959

Ok, well, these pictures only got me caught up through September 28th so I guess catching up will take more than 1 post.  But hey, it’s a start and now I’m only 1 month behind!
