I am so far behind on blogging but today I just had to post about what a joy Baron is these days. He's always been a pretty easy and happy guy but lately he just makes me smile nonstop. Anytime I laugh he gets hysterical laughing. Almost anything Jackson does makes him laugh like crazy. Let's just say that if our decision whether or not to have a 3rd baby was based solely upon Baron we would already be trying. Don't get me wrong-we have NOT made that decision and are definitely NOT trying:) The last several days every time I pick up Bear he pats me on the back. There is nothing in this world sweeter than picking up your 7 month old baby boy and having him pat you on the back and lay his head on your shoulder. I'm not sure if he knows what he is doing with the back patting but I'll take it either way! I know Jackson used to pat me on the back as well but I need to look back to see at what age he started.
Bear is finally out of the swaddle at night, I think it's been about 1 or 2 weeks now. So, he was swaddled for an entire 7 months, one month longer than Jack.
While I am talking about Bear I also have to mention Jack. Jackson is such a wonderful big brother. He's always so sweet to Bear and so affectionate and loving. When Jack was so very sick about a month ago he had been laying on the sofa and I went to put Baron to bed. Jackson immediately followed me into Bear's room (he always comes with me to sing to Bear and then wants to be the last one to kiss Bear's head before I lay him down). I told Jackson he didn't need to help with Baron's bedtime routine and could just go lay down and Jack said, "I am really sick but Baron still needs my love. You have to take care of your babies even when you are really bad sick." Love that boy. Despite Jackson's energetic nature and his current sleep problems he is always careful and gentle with Baron. I know that won't always be the case but I sure am loving it while it lasts.
Baron goes down about 5:30p.m. these days and gets up at 7:30a.m. He still wakes up twice at night to eat and takes two naps during the day. His night wakings don't really bother me (of course with Jackson's sleeping troubles I barely notice Bear getting up) right now. Of course it could be because while I'm feeding him all I can think about is that this might be my last baby to rock. And knowing that each night I am possibly holding the smallest baby (of mine) that I will ever hold again makes me so sentimental. -And they say the hormones go back to normal after the baby is born!
Anyway, Baron is so precious and such a lovable little guy and I am just so happy to be his mommy. And he's growing (wearing 18-24 months) and changing so fast that even in my break from blogging I wanted to add a little about him!
