Heroes For Children 5K

Last Saturday we did our first 5k as a family. It was kind of raining but we still had a great time. Jackson insisted on walking a little over a mile instead of sitting in the stroller which didn't help our time. Truth be told our time wouldn't have been that great anyway:) At one point we were walking with Jackson in the stroller and there was a man talking to a boy (probably about 10) next to us. He must have been his coach because he was telling the boy that he was switching his position to quarterback for the next football game. Jackson heard this and immediately pushed back the sun shade on his stroller to look at the man and said "I like football. I wanna play football!" We all busted out laughing and the man told Jackson that it was awesome that he liked football and good luck in the future on the field. Jax is a pretty entertaining little man.

Jackson walking "yike" daddy.

When we crossed the finish line everyone was clapping and cheering. Jackson thought it was all for him. He was very happy.

Watching the awards ceremony.

Jackson dancing during the kiddie concert afterwards.

Despite walking over a mile Jackson had plenty of energy left to run around.

The 3 of us after the finish line. . .can you tell I only got a few hours of sleep the night before?

Thanks again to everyone who donated to this awesome cause!!
