The other day I walked into the kitchen to see Jack very proudly taking out the trash. He said, “hey mom, since dad works so late every night I’ll start taking out the trash for you!” I of course was thrilled with this and he has taken the trash out (of his own volition) and put a new bag in the can every single time for the last several weeks.

Monkey Boys!
Lately Bear has become every bit as much of a monkey as Jack. Just check out the picture below. You can see Jack (dressed as Spiderman) hanging upside down and Bear just had to join. Of course Jack got himself into position and I had to help Bear climb up. But both stayed that way for a pretty long time.
Phone Pics Part 2
Jack’s sleep is so intertwined with his behavior (like most kids) and this was after a particularly tough day. As soon as he got into the car he passed out. My sweet guy needs a LOT of rest to operate at full capacity.
I have never been around a boy who dresses up more than Jack. We have non-stop adventures in our house and he’s always saving us from a big fire or bad guy or something.
Laid back. . .
Sweet little Charlie the weekend we kept the older 2 Hirst kids.
Ellie with her home depot project.
Bear and Charlie were the best of buds!
Love those sweet boys.
Costco fun.
Gaga’s (current) oldest and youngest grandchildren.
Back in September I was cleaning out a TON of stuff. I found this picture from 1996 of Danielle, Alisha and myself.
And this one with Jess Geiser in 2002. . .
And from 2002 when Adrienne and I were roommates.
Jenna with sweet Colson Owens in 1997 at Dacia’s wedding.
And back to current, here’s Bear a few weeks ago at the park.
Ellie as Mary in the school play 3 Wise Men and a Baby.
My buddies at Mandy’s house.
Wow, the playroom after I had totally organized it.
Jay and 1 year old Jack.
“Take picture me mommy!”
My guys are best pals lately and I LOVE it! Such a blessing to have them love to play together so much. Jack reads to Bear at night (on the left) and says that he just “reads words out of his own mind” since he doesn’t really read. And again having fun at Costco.
For some reason the boys love to play in Bear’s crib together.
Last week at the park, how has my baby gotten so dang big???
Welcome to the World of Technology. . .
A few weeks back I ate my words. My phone died and I got a smart phone. Jay had been bugging me to get one for ages and I just couldn’t ever justify the cost. Anyway, now I have one and of course am just as addicted as the rest of the world. The guy at the AT&T store actually laughed when I asked him if I qualified for an upgrade. Apparently I had been using the same phone for 4 years which made me quite ancient. Anyway, the HUGE plus for me getting a new phone is that now I can upload pictures from my phone to the computer. No, I have never been able to do that before. So, without further ado, here’s a little walk down Hill’s phone’s memory lane:
Here’s a shot of Jay and Jack at one of the original “Jackson fun day’s” from when Jay traveled.
Jack on the airplane going to Boston.
Here’s Jack potty training. . . I know, he’ll hate this one someday but he’s sitting next to me now and loves it.
Jack “working” in Jay’s old office before it became Bear’s room.
Bear less than a week old.
Baby Bear.
I love this shot of Bear in the swing his very first summer.
The boys swinging when Bear was less than 6 months and Jack was under 3.
Jack and Ellie on Jack’s 3rd birthday. Ellie was playing dress up in Mia’s old clothes.
Jack’s first frozen yogurt.
Tin man Jack.
This was totally crazy, one of our neighbors was apparently a hoarder and his home was foreclosed on. This immense pile of junk sat in his front yard for 48 hours!
Jack playing with the headbands right after Danielle and I became partners.
Obviously these are not in chronological order. But here’s my 3 sweet guys.
My buddy Manu from Baylor met us up at the galleria for lunch last spring. Jack is on the left and another friend of his brought her son, also named Jackson, on the right.
Roller blading in the house with no pants, he wouldn’t have it any other way!
My favorite boys.
A super proud Jack with his tower. He asked me to take this picture because he knew his brother would destroy it soon after.
Bear would only ride the lion standing up. . .yep, he’s a boy!
Jackster opening candy for headbands.
Spaghetti face Baron.
This is the only way Jack will shop at Target. . .he must be in full super hero gear.
On the elephant at Safari Park.
Wittle Bear at Safari Park.
Sweet face.
