Boston Trip Part 1

We had an awesome week in Boston. The kids were the best of friends and Jenna and Shelby as always were wonderful hosts.
Jenna and the kids met us at the airport and the kids were ecstatic to see each other. Mia was holding a big "welcome to Boston" sign that she had made. It was so much fun. And the boys were buddies from the start. One funny conversation in the car:
Lennon: Let's go to Jordan's
Jenna: Sorry Lennon, Jordan's is closed, we'll go another day.
Lennon: (clearly upset) Then I'm going to throw Jordan's away!
Mia: Um, Lennon, you're not really strong enough to throw Joradan's away.
Lennon: I'm cool for throwing Jordan's away.
Jackson: I could use tools to throw Jordan's away.

Mia, as usual, was great with the boys. She's still the most loving, funny, creative and sweet girl ever. Lennon and Jackson were the best of friends. It was really fun to watch them play. Occasionally we had to step in to decide whose turn it was etc but all in all they did great. Not even one major fight from the boys. Lennon doesn't drink out of a bottle but the whole time we were there he and Jax both drank bottles before bed. It was so funny because the bottles were in the fridge and neither boy ever went to get only his own bottle. They were constantly asking if Ba or Enin wanted a bottle. I can totally picture them being college roommates someday.

Ok, here are tons of pictures. . .

Jax and Lennon checking out a snake (or as Jackson calls them "more pow!") at the Rainforest Cafe.

Our sweet boys.

Happy guys loving being together.

The boys grilling hamburgers.

The cousins having their evening snuggle time.

These guys were inseparable for the whole trip.

Playing in the furniture at Jordans.

Aunt Sissy playing with the boys at Jordans. She's holding over 70 pounds of two year old here!

The boys fighting with lightsabers while Mia conducts a Miley Cyrus song.

Seeing the boys together makes me look so forward to the Francis family living in Texas again.

Mia and Mateus getting ready for our slumber party movie night.

Lennon showing Ba (Lennon still calls him Ba) that the gnome isn't scary.

Mia dressing up to go to the zoo. She's wearing a dress that used to be Jenna's.

Aunt Sissy helping the boys do the zip line.

Go Jackson!

Roasting hot dogs over the fire in the back yard.

The kids enjoying the awesome back yard.

Cousin bath time fun.

Jackson shaving with the new razor Mia and Lennon gave him for Christmas.

Sissy reading the kids their bedtime story. Mia, again, wearing one of Jenna's old dresses.

This was Mia and Jackson's "parade." I have no idea what they meant but they crawled around like this laughing hysterically saying it was a parade.

Walking to Mia and Lennon's swamp. They are on a ton of acres and exploring is a favorite activity.

Cousin hug.

Trying to get the 3 of them to smile and look at the camera was a losing battle.

Sweet Mia.

Sissy and her sweet kiddos.

Jackson throwing sticks into the swamp.

Mimi and Enin.

Jack loving being outdoors.

Precious Lennon loving on his mommy.

Hugging Mia while she's in time out.

Mia wearing Jenna's halloween wig.

The little peanut goofing off in the wig.

If you've been to my house you can now see that the letting the kids dance and play on the furniture is definitely hereditary:)

Airplane

We got home the Thursday before Thanksgiving from an awesome week with Aunt Sissy, Uncle Shelby, Mia and Lennon. Soon I will write all about how the kids are best pals and post way too many pictures but for now I'm going to let you know how the flights there and back went. . .
First of all Jackson has a new favorite game. When we are driving down the street he looks at each house asking, "is that my house?" and then replying "nooooooo!"
He does this over and over again and cracks up at himself. Well, lucky me because he adapted this super fun game for the airport. Instead of asking about the house he looked at every adult male passing by and loudly asked, "hey mommy, is THAT my daddy?" And then exclaimed, "Noooooooo." Mind you I was visibly 28 weeks pregnant with wearing no wedding ring and toting a 2 year old wondering who his father might be. It was definitely memorable. People were looking at us and probably debating over calling child protective services. Once on the plane Jackson was creative enough to grab onto the bar below the overhead storage compartments and swing back and forth screaming, "hold on tight, don't let go. The alligators will eat me!"
Other interesting quotes from the flight were:
"Can I touch your eye ball mommy? Please! You can touch my eyeball!"
"What kind bra are you wearing mommy?" And the great part is he then actually looked and told the guy sitting next to us what color bra I was wearing.
"Diarrhea is watery poop. Diarrhea is funny."
Everyone knew who we were and most strangers were addressing Jackson by name by the end of the flight. Our 4 flights were very memorable and by the end I had decided that a portable dvd player is a very worth while investment for our next trip!

Jack Quotes

This morning going into Jax's room.
Me: Good morning precious.
Jackson: Oh hey mommy, so, how you doin today?
****************************************************************
Me: Jackson, your brother is going to be your best friend, are you excited.
Jackson: Bearnon (Baron) not best friend. Bearnon buddy, Ellie Bellie Jackson's best friend.
****************************************************************
Looking into the window of his lighthouse night light
Jackson: Mommy, can I tee tee into this hole?
Me: No. We only tee tee into the potty or into a diaper Jack.
Jackson: Can I tee tee into noder (another) tiny hole?
Me: Repeat earlier comment
Jackson: Do you tee tee into holes sometimes?
Me: Hey Jackson, do you want to read a book?
****************************************************************
Jackson lately gives the best kisses with the best "muuuuahhhhhh" sound effects. He typically asks you if the kiss "made you feel beddar" afterwards. It always makes us feel better!
****************************************************************
He also channels Buckweat (sp?) constantly by always replying, "Oh tay mommy!"
****************************************************************
Me: Jackson, who is your best friend
Jackson: Nanny and Paw Paw
Me: You love them so much don't you Jack
Jackson: Mommy, they are precious to me.
****************************************************************
Jackson: Mommy Daddy, I need sit in the middle
Me: Ok, Jackson we'll sit down with you on the sofa and you can be in the middle
Is this good?
Jackson: No, need to be really tight together
Jay and I squeeze really tight to snuggle him
Jackson: Now it good!

Best Compliment Ever

Today I was at Jackson's school a little early and went in to the book fair room and saw Mrs. Bell, one of Jack's teachers. I asked Mrs. Bell if Jackson had obeyed today and she said he was great and I mentioned that he has asked me lately to take him to Mrs. Bell's house. She said she'd love to have him at her house and that she adored him. She then said that she had two daughters and the only way she'd have another child is if she were sure it was a boy. And even further if she did have a boy and it was possible to custom order one she would want exactly Jackson. She said that while he was super active and all boy that he was the sweetest most loving and tender boy she knew. Now, I don't know if she says that to all of the parents or not but it sure made me feel good. I'm so proud of my little man and love him so much and having his teacher say something so kind about his sweet little spirit made my heart full. Thanks Mrs. Bell!

Halloween

On Halloween we were all kind of sick but decided to venture out anyway. We went to an expo festival and although it was kind of a bust we did have some funny moments.

They had a dance show on stage which Jackson loved watching.

Here's Jax dancing along with the hip hop dancers.

After the show they asked any junior dancers to come up and learn some new moves. I figured it would be only older kids but Jackson immediately begged to go on stage. He definitely got the Sheriff and Adams gene for being on stage:)

Having fun on the push cars.

Playing the hockey game with daddy.

After the festival and a nap we went to Gaga's house. Jackson had no interest in trick or treating. He only wanted to "make coffee."

Hanging with Uncle Jeremy.

Finally I convinced him to trick or treat a little. He had a blast and didn't even complain when I gave him healthy snacks instead of what the neighbors had given him.
Despite being sick we had a really fun day!

Cross Bend Fall Festival

On Thursday Jackson's mother's day out had a fall festival. I had volunteered to host (along with two other moms) for Jackson's class and Jay was able to come with me. We had such a fun time!

Jax playing one of the games in the gym.

Passing out the trick or treat bags that the kids had made earlier in the week.

They got to trick or treat in the halls.

Jackson's class.

Love the cute kiddos!

Jackson's teacher said to make a crazy face. . .Jackson's the only one who got the memo. . .

Special snack time. Notice all the kids eating sugar cookies, except for Jackson. He was more than happy to eat the special cake I'd made him that morning.

Jay read the special story. Jackson kept announcing, "that's MY daddy!" He was very proud.

Craft time.

Waiting eagerly for the pony rides.

Jackson's ride was cut short because it started raining, poor little guy.

Jackson and Sophia playing on the photographers set.

MOMS Connection Halloween Party

Last Wednesday Amy hosted an awesome halloween party for our church group. Here are some pictures of the fun.

Jackson and his two favorite kiddos, Ellie and Emma.

Jess and Cain.

Jackson, Meredith, Dylan, Emma and Ellie.

Mickey and Minnie gliding together.

Jennifer watching Dylan and Jax mow the lawn.

Trying to get a group picture of the kids wasn't easy. Meredith, Ellie, Jax, Emma, Teddy, Jake, and Dylan.

Spider man was a very popular costume, Teddy, Jake and Dylan all kept us safe!

Jackson ran straight up to baby Harper and said "Oh my gosh, she is so cute!" He LOVES babies!

Two of the spideys.

Jaclyn pointed out that only the cool moms dressed up for the party. Way to be cool Jaclyn and Cathy!

My very uncool and not dressed up self with my sweet little Mickey. At this point he had already taken Jaclyn's gun. He's never played with a gun before but knew just what to do with it. I guess it is nature. . .

Uh oh, Office Jaclyn arrested Jax.

Jackson kept begging to hold baby Harper.

Another group shot.
