After being at Mandy's house for Labor Day we went to Nanny and Paw Paw's for a few days. We had such a good time and here are some pictures.

Jackson's 1st Birthday Pictures!

Jackson's 12 month check up

I forgot to mention Jackson's 12 month check up last Thursday. He now weighs in at 25 pounds 8 ounces and is 33 inches tall. He is in the 82% for weight and the 97+ for height and head circumference. The Dr. said he's doing great and is probably going to be a pretty big guy. Although I don't really know if your size at 12 months really predicts much. He also asked if we had a lot of tall skinny relatives. . . hmmmm, not really. . .

San Antonio, Baytown and Beaumont Oh My!

Wow, we've been on the run lately! Which explains why there aren't any pictures posted from Jackson's 1st birthday party yet. Last Thursday Mandy called trying to entice me to convince Jay to come to San Antonio for the holiday weekend. We had planned to go to Baytown but since Gustav was still causing quite a fuss Jay had been told he wouldn't be working on Friday or Saturday. So, in light of him having a 4 day weekend we decided to trek down to Mandy's new place and go to Baytown the following weekend. We had an awesome time! Jackson loved swimming and playing and Mandy's new house is lots of fun. Chef Paul even made a visit and cooked a delicious dinner which even Jackson enjoyed!
We stayed through Tuesday because Jay wasn't supposed to go back to Beaumont until Wednesday and at that point there wasn't much logic in me driving 5 hours back to Dallas and then 5 hours to Baytown 3 days later. So, I eliminated 7 hours drive time from my week and just came straight to Baytown from San Antonio. The 3 hour drive was very relaxing and peaceful for me. . .Jay had teething and screaming Jackson in his car. . .thanks Jay!!!
So, we are in Baytown through the weekend and having a wonderful time. Jackson loves riding in the golf cart and getting lots of love from his Nanny and Paw Paw. He's having a rough time though b/c his teeth are coming in so fast. He now has 11 teeth. . .3 of which are molars which have come in over the last week. Poor little guy! But he's doing great other than that. As soon as I get home (where I left my computer which has all of my pictures) I will post pictures from Jax's party. Also for those of you who were there please forgive the very late thank you notes. . .I also left my address book at home:(
Anyway, things are great but I'm looking forward to getting home and into the routine of things with play dates, church etc.
