A few more bluebonnet pictures. . .

Baron Update

I just realized I haven't said anything about little Bear lately. He's such a wonderful and easy baby that we are enjoying every minute with him. Before he was born I had worried that as a second child he might be short changed. I was concerned that we might not be as excited about his milestones since we had already had a baby who had crawled, walked, talked, etc. Well, now I know that we are just as excited about everything he does as we were with Jackson. The only difference is that with him I don't have the stress, worries or general paranoia that I had as a first time mommy. Bear is cooing and laughing so much and just always happy.

Jackson goes to sleep around 7 or 7:30 and Baron goes to sleep at 10 so Jay and I have a few hours alone with Bear each night. We just love playing with him and making him laugh. He's such a joy and a blessing. At this point he's making it really hard for me to not want a third baby.

He's eating very well and has been sleeping 9 straight hours for several weeks. Unfortunately he's making me very spoiled because last week on two separate occasions he woke up to eat in the middle of the night and I felt like my world had turned upside down. Not that it wouldn't be totally appropriate for him to wake up once during the night but I just wasn't used to it. How quickly we become spoiled!
Anyway, Baron goes to bed by 10 most nights (he stays up as late as 11:30 occasionally)and sleeps until around 7 a.m.

Yesterday he rolled over from his tummy to his back three times. I'm not sure if he intended to do it or not so we will see if it happens again. Pretty much the only time he is unhappy is during tummy time. He's definitely not a fan of being on his stomach.

Jackson is such a wonderful big brother, he loves so much Baron and at least once a day kisses his little feet and talks about how much he loves those tiny toes:) Recently, he has been taking care of his little teddy bear (a gift from my friend Kristin when Jackson was born) which he named Barry. He swaddles Barry, feeds Barry, sings to Barry, puts him in the swing and the bassinet. It's very cute. When I change Baron's diaper Jack changes Barry's diaper. Funny stuff.

I'll try to post some good pictures soon but I wanted to give an update on our little guy on his 11 week birthday:) Also according to our scales he now weighs 14 pounds 8 ounces and he's currently wearing 3-6 month clothes. We are so blessed to have two healthy, happy boys!

I pledge. . .

Tonight at dinner Jackson busted out with the pledge of allegiance. He must have learned it at school. He sounded so cute that I just had to film it. I wasn't quick enough to get his first few words but I'm sure you know how it goes:)

Bluebonnets!

Once again we took bluebonnet pictures at the field by our house. I've got bluebonnet pictures from 2008 and 2009 posted below. And since Adrienne got some super cute pictures of Jax and Ellie this year, I decided to posted some pictures of the two of them together from April of 2008 and 2009.

Here's Jackson and Ellie in April of 2008:

And here's Jackson in the bluebonnets in 2008:

Jack and Ellie in 2009:

Jackson in the bluebonnets in 2009:
Notice he isn't sitting in the bonnets in any of these pictures. I'm sure you all remember a period where Jackson was ALWAYS moving. He literally would not sit for a single picture.

And Jax and Ellie this year:

Later I'll post some with mommy and daddy. . .right now I've gotta run!

Kyle's Wedding

Our cousin Kyle got married on the 17th. Unfortunately I didn't get very many pictures but here are a few. . .

Pancakes with Parents and Spring Art Show

About a month ago we had pancakes with parents at Jackson's school. Bascially we had breakfast with the other students families and then went to view the kids art at the spring art show. It was really fun and Jackson had looked very forward to showing off his masterpieces.

Jackson hugging his bff, Ellie. Unfortunately because of the way their birthdays fall despite being only 5 months apart they can't be in the same class.

Can you tell Jackson did NOT want to be in this picture?

And now for the art. . .

A Weekend with Nanny and Paw Paw

Last weekend Jay and Jackson went to Beach City to be with Nanny and Paw Paw. Bear and I missed them so much! My guys had an awesome weekend and I am so grateful to Nanny and Paw Paw for taking such great care of them. Jay and I are so blessed to have such an awesome family. Here are some pictures of the fun, and yes, Jackson is already begging to go back:)

Jackson playing on an antique John Deer tricycle. Nanny is going to restore it and change the name from John Deer to Jack Deer!

Nanny saved a basket that the Easter Bunny left at their house.

My strong man pulling his Nanny in the wagon. He insisted on pulling her around the driveway.

Jackson and Nanny working in the garden. Nanny and Paw Paw are working hard to grow healthy vegetables for the family.

Mr. and Mrs. Daughty were kind enough to give Jackson this cool "AirPogo" swing. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Daughty! Here Nanny and Paw Paw are putting up the swing for Jackson to enjoy.

Look at the excitement on his face!

Jackson face says it all. He had a great time swinging with his Nanny. Jay and Jax had a great time in Beach City and we cannot wait to all 4 visit again soon.

The Simmon's flowers

For the third year in a row we went to see the Simmon's flower garden last week. Thanks so much to Grandmommy and Bill for inviting us each year. Click here to see the pictures from 2008, and when I find the post I'll post a link to the 2009 pictures. And below are the ones we got this year.
