The Red Balloon and Blueberries
Yesterday I had to get some cleaning supplies (yes, I know shocker that I've somewhat learned to clean) at the Dollar Store. While I was in line to check out Jackson got hysterical laughing at the mylar balloons. He was amazed by them! I figure there won't be too many times I can make Jackson's day with just one dollar so of course we walked out with one. I had no idea just how happy I had made him. He played with the balloon for the ENTIRE DAY!
The beloved balloon!
Trying to crawl under the slide with the balloon.
Taking a break to figure out how to get the balloon under the slide.
Kissing the balloon after successfully getting through.
Admiring his adorable reflection.
This morning Jackson was thrilled to realize that the balloon was still here! In addition to him being so happy lately he's also eating really well. He has added blueberries, grapes, cheese, turkey, and many other foods to the list of what he loves. He's even happily eating my homemade baby food now!
His favorite balloon just made his morning!
Kissing the balloon.
Getting ready to crawl under the slide with the balloon in tow. . .again!

Father's Day & Purely O's
We were in Baytown to celebrate Father's Day last weekend and had a wonderful time. It's always great to see Jay's family and Jackson just adores them. While we were there Jackson got his first two pairs of shoes (some really cute boat shoes from Nanny and some adorable tennis shoes from Aunt Sherri). And the most amazing news is that Sherri got Jackson to eat Purely O's (a healthier version of Cheerio's) and then Nanny took it one very important step further and got him to actually feed himself. We have been really working with him to put food into his own mouth and finally it has happened!
So, thank you to both of them for working with our little guy!
Jackson unwraping a present for the first time!
Enjoying the beautiful view Jay woke up to for 18 years.
On the porch with his Paw Paw.
Nanny giving Jackson his beloved bottle.
Jackson loves to play in the grass!
Relaxing in the hammock.
Proof of his love for Purely O's!
I think he even tried to eat the box!

My Little Snuggle Bug!
Poor Jackson hasn't felt too great this week. He's teething (I guess it lasts FOREVER???) and has basically wanted to be held all week. The good news is he has slept pretty well. It's just so sad to know that he is hurting, not to mention I can't get anything done holding him ALL day long. But I must admit I do enjoy the constant snuggle. This weekend we are going to Jay's parents and I know Jackson will have a great time with his Paw Paw and Nanny. And maybe those darn teeth will finally come through and give him some relief!

Walking in Memphis
Last weekend Jackson and I went to Memphis to visit 7 month pregnant Carolyn. We had such a great time! Carolyn got to know Jackson and the craziness that is involved in watching a 9 month old 24/7. . .it was a blast! Jackson was very intrigued by her greyhound and her two cats. We had such an awesome weekend and we already miss her tons! We missed Chris but I know he had fun golfing with his brothers in Texas all weekend. Also Jackson was perfect on both flights. Not a single fuss! I was very happy!!! Thanks Carolyn for such an amazing weekend, we can't wait to meet Cora who is due around July 29th!
