Jackson will be 9 months old tomorrow. I was thinking today that I can't believe he's now been out in the world for as long as I was pregnant. Jay then reminded me that I was pregnant longer than 40 weeks. . .how soon we forget!
Despite some serious teething right now he's still the joy of our lives and such a treat to be with each day. Yesterday we went to the Dr. for his 9 month check up and he's actually not the giant he had been:) As of yesterday he was 23 pounds 12 ounces (at 6 months he was 23 pounds 6 ounces) and still 31 inches. He's just in the 90% for height and weight and 97+% for head circumference. He's definitely got the huge Sheriff head but his other percentiles have dropped due to his being so mobile!
He's still a super fast crawler and pulling up and walking around holding onto everything. He can stand by himself for a little while but has only taken one independent step between furniture. I still think walking is a while off. . .which I am just fine with!
His favorite game right now is ball. He loves to stand at the top of his baby slide and throw the ball to me and then clap for himself when I catch it. Then I throw it back to him and more clapping follows. This game can go on for much longer than you would think. Yesterday I'm pretty sure we played ball for over an hour. But with him clapping and being so happy (despite his top two teeth breaking through and a double ear infection) I was happy to keep playing. It sure beat the crying he had done for HOURS before the game started.
Eating is still a challenge but we are going to fix that in the next two weeks or we have to go to a feeding clinic. I'm not sure what a baby feeding clinic does but I really don't think I want to find out!
Here are some pictures of our "ball" game!
