Jackson's 4 Month Appointment!

Today was Jackson's 4 month check up. I can't believe that Christmas Eve he will actually be 4 months old. Time is flying by! He's in the 95% for height at 27 inches and 97% for weight at a whopping 19.9 pounds. I think Jenna said he's now the size Mia was at two years:) Our little linebacker is still a very happy baby and has hit all of the 4 month milestones. It is such a joy and a blessing to be with him every day and watch him change so dramatically. He's really becoming quite the little man!

A few days ago Dacia brought me the finished quilt from my baby shower. It is just precious. At my shower she had everyone make a square and it turned out so cute! I love it so much and know it will be a very special keepsake. Below are some pictures:

She also gave us all of Owen's outgrown clothes. . .they are quickly becoming my favorites! Thanks Dacia!

Christmas Pictures

Tuesday we went to get Jackson's Christmas pictures done. My mom is the best at getting good laughs and smiles from Jackson and was nice enough to come with us. We had a blast getting them done and these were our favorites:

Schedule????

OK, well, now we're back on schedule. . .sleeping through the night and napping well. I guess I just made a rookie mom mistake by being so confused by the deviations. . .I'm now learning that any schedule I "think" we are on can always change. But things are great and he's just such an awesome baby!

I spoke too soon!

Well, after an entire week of Jackson sleeping through the night. . .I realize his schedule is not quite set. He's now waking up at 4 a.m. and then again between 7:30-9:30 a.m. so I guess he's not really ready for the 13 hour stretch. But really, with this cute smile, how can I complain about a little extra time together at night?

Jackson Update

First of all Jackson was awesome in the car on the way to and from Baytown for Thanksgiving. 7 1/2 hours (due to holiday traffic and the occasional stop for feeding or diaper changes) in the car. . .and he didn't even fuss once. He mostly just cooed and slept. Then while in Baytown he rolled over for the first time! Previously he was sleeping 12 hours (ever since we put him in his own crib at 8 weeks but now he sleeps 13 hours in a row at night, it's wonderful! He's just such a fun little guy, we are very blessed!

Jackson's First Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we went to Baytown to Nan and Paw Paw's house. We got to see Aunt Sherri and Uncle Dennis, Aunt Pat, and Heath and Leslie. Jay was also able to do some great fishing. It was a wonderful time and Jackson loved all of the attention!

Jenna, Mia, and Lennon visit!

The last week of October Jenna, Mia, and Lennon came to visit. We had such a wonderful time. The two boys didn't much notice each other but Mia was a wonderful cousin and made them laugh constantly. It made me realize how fun it will be for Jackson to have a little sibling one day, Mia is so helpful to Jenna and loves her brother so much. It also made me realize how much I miss them and how happy I will be when they live in Austin in four years. They will be back soon for Christmas and luckily Shelby will be with them this time. We can't wait!

November

November has been a great month for us. Jackson is almost 3 months old and in the 97% for weight, height, and head size. He's actually grabbing things now and discovering his hands. He laughs all of the time and is a very happy little guy. Here are some of our most recent pictures.
